After a few weeks back at home we decided to finish the rest of our tour in a car!  Kristin’s knee is still hurting even on short rides so we decided it’s best to leave it alone for awhile and cruise the rest of our route in a car :)  We’re taking the same back roads, no interstate.  We’re super excited because now we can stop any time we want instead of having to pedal all day to get to the next town.    We’re keeping the bikes and all of our touring equipment for the future so we can do shorter tours, but for now we’re really pumped about doing an epic road trip and seeing the whole country!  Still bringing some of the camping gear so we can save money.  We’re waiting on some car parts and stuff to come in, getting all the maintenance and stuff out of the way, and we’re hoping to head out some time in May :)

We’re back in Slidell while Kristin’s knee recovers, we plan on staying here for a month or so and easing her back into riding more and more.  We went for a ride around the neighborhood and she didn’t have any pain!

Just got the results in from the doctors, they said there is nothing torn or pulled, just some inflammation so she needs to stay off it for awhile. Very glad to hear that!

So Kristin started getting some knee pain on the bigger hills, then it started hurting all the time.  We went and saw a doctor today (thankfully we got travel insurance!) and got xrays and an MRI scan done.  We should know something around Tuesday but for now we’re resting at her cousin’s house outside of Jacksonville, FL.  We’ll keep everyone updated, but please keep us in your prayers!
